Please tell me Thanksgiving really isn't next Thursday! It seems like yesterday that I checked the calendar and it was at least three weeks away. But now it's only one week. How in the world did that happen???
Actually I can tell you how it happened.
I haven't been using my planner. It's not that I don't want to - well, I take that back. I actually don't want to. I'm bored with my planner and I'm tired of scheduling tasks that never get done. I'm tired of making daily plans that go from Plan A to Plan Z by noon. Unfortunately, since I have ADHD, a planner is essential if I want to function well. The Thanksgiving situation is a good example.
When I use my planner daily, I'm reminded regularly (and visually) that Thanksgiving is coming up. I can also see how much time is left between now and Thanksgiving. That helps me plan and prevents Thanksgiving (or any other important dates) from sneaking up on me.
So what should I do? I should probably go get my planner, open it up and start using it again. Will I? I absolutely will - as soon as I decide which planner and which format to use.
