Life With Lucy - Oh, Boy!

Life with Lucy is never dull. Never. Ever. I'm constantly doing research to find ways to solve all the little issues we're dealing with.  The latest is her obsession with the couch. I get it - the couch is comfy and labs do love comfort! But I don't want her on there.  So I did some research and this is what I came up with:

Lucy had her second vet appointment this week and had gained 5 pounds.  She was 13 pounds at her last visit and 18 at this one.  The vet said she was very strong willed and energetic.  That's the truth!!!!!

She is chewing on us a little bit less but still thinks it's necessary to try to eat everything she sees.  I mean EVERYTHING.  I don't think there's anything she won't try to eat.  As a result, we've had to do some major puppy proofing of the house. Take a look at the bathroom.

She LOVES toilet paper so we have to keep it on the back of the toilet.

How about the dining room:

And the living room:
We normally have magazines, remotes and glasses on this table.

We normally have magazines on this table.

This had two baskets in the bottom sections.  They had children's books in them. Lucy won't leave them alone.
This is where we put stuff we don't want her to get.
We keep doors closed:

We have a tiny tree this year.

She ripped another one of my shirts:

This was a rare moment where she was simply relaxing at my feet:
This gives me hope!
Despite all of that, I do love her and I'm glad we got her.  But I won't lie - I'll be glad when we get through this phase.

  1. I love your tiny tree! I'd do it too, if I thought I could get away with it! The pugs don't care about the tree but our cat starts climbing it the day I put it up. One year I tried to pull her off it and the whole tree started coming down. She's on her own with that tree now!

    1. Oh, boy! Cats are the worst when it comes to Christmas trees. I don't think we'll have to do this every year but right now Lucy tries to eat everything.
