So ... I'm going a different direction. I'm still using a planner and I'm still using a planner with rings but I'm going to focus more on tracking.
I got the idea from Maryanne Moll and have actually purchased her pages and made some changes to make them better fit my needs. I talked to Maryanne about it before I posted this article and she was okay with what I did. In fact, she so believes in tracking that she encouraged me and gave me some tips to improve my pages. You can see Maryanne's videos here and visit her Etsy shop here .
I'm going the tracking route because I don't seem able to plan ahead but I still need motivation to be productive (filling in the tracking boxes) and a written record. I'm excited and nervous about it since it's so different than anything I've done before.
Here's a sample of my current pages. These are just a first draft. I have some more tweaking to do, including a few of the icons and a little bit on the layout of the right page. I also need to figure out how I'm going to use the hyperdex. But I think I'm finally on the right track.
By the way, if you noticed any little holes to the left and right of the pages, yes, those are from my puppy, Lucy. She got a hold of my favorite pen and my planner while my back was turned. She's obsessed with my planner and it takes a lot of work to keep her from getting it.
|This is what happens when I try to use it on my lap. She's either trying to bite the paper, the planner or my pen.|
