The House Search Has Begun

It's that time again - time for David and I to sell our completed fixer upper and move on to a new project.

We spent the last two years fixing up a repo we purchased in November 2013.  It needed TONS of work but it's finally done and ready to go to a new family.  It's not on the market yet but will be soon.

In the meantime, David and I are searching the real estate websites and touching base regularly with our realtor to see what we can find for the next phase of our lives.

We've looked at a few properties already that have been . . . interesting.

The first was on 1.7 acres and needed to be torn down.  The property was nice but the house was a disaster.

The second house was on 3.2 acres of absolutely gorgeous property.  The house was small with a quirky floor plan and NO windows to the gorgeous view.  It also had no garage and only a partial basement.  But did I mention the gorgeous property?  The price is a little high on this one, but if it goes down a bit, it might be a possibility.

That's it for now but I'll keep you posted.

  1. Good luck! I walk by this house regularly, one of the loveliest homes in the city, and wish I was wealthy enough to buy it! http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/10-Woodside-Cir-Hartford-CT-06105/57734842_zpid/
