After hours of searching on-line, tons of drive-bys , looks inside and three offers, we finally made a deal. In fact, we closed on the house yesterday.
After we signed the contract to purchase the house, we put our house on the market. It sold the second day and after the second showing. We close on it in July.
This is the first time we've purchased a house and waited to move so it doesn't feel quite right. It doesn't feel real. I'm sure it will sink in as soon as I start packing and cleaning.
In the meantime, David went over yesterday after we closed and started working. In a few short hours he managed to:
1. Remove all the carpet.
2. Remove all the duct work.
3. Remove the old furnace.
4. Remove all the old window treatments.
Seriously, the man is a machine.
I'll post more details about the new house along with some pictures later this week. Right now I'm babysitting my 15-month-old granddaughter, my 6-year-old granddaughter and my daughter's dog. It's a full house and a bit of a circus. So more later - after I catch up on my sleep!
